About FindAHelper...

FindAHelper was created in 2006 by two local Bend residents looking for a way to make life easier for themselves so they could spend more time skiing, cycling, and enjoying Central Oregon. In the process they realized that they could also make life easier for other Central Oregonians... A real bonus all the way around! How? Well, with an abundance of local service providers they realized they couldn't possibly find them all when they needed a project finished. Part of this was because Yellow Page ads and local service directories are too expensive for most small businesses. They quickly realized a need for an affordable and effective way for small service providers to get their name out there.
The answer? FindAHelper: A low-cost service directory aimed at promoting local service providers to local residents.
FindAHelper has grown quickly from just a concept to, well, slightly more than just a concept, and has been welcomed in our rapidly growing community. With your support we look forward to helping more residents find more service providers here in Central Oregon. Drop us a line and let us know what you think of FindAHelper. Who Is FindAHelper?

| Jared Young: Jared moved to Bend in 2004 with a degree in writing and extensive experience in print journalism, technical writing, and marketing. His job with FindAHelper is to help members get more business and help you find local service providers quickly and easily so you don't have to waste time doing projects you don't want to do... Basically, Jared does all the work. When he's not working on FindAHelper, Jared can be found mountain biking in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, or at his house testing ill-advised home-brew recipes.

John Cullen: John moved to Bend in 1998 with a degree in something computer-related. He's responsible for the look and feel of the website as well as making sure everything always works... Other than that, we really don't know what he does, but whatever it is, he's really good at it. He's your basic computer nerd. But that doesn't mean to imply that he's one-dimensional. He brushes his teeth three times a day, works out a lot, gripes about trivialities to no end, and still finds time to crank his bike up the mountain a few times a week. In the winter he trades his bikes for a skis... he's quite the snow bunny in his powder blue jacket.

Inspector Duck: Inspector is extremely good at what he does: sitting at the top of the web page and grabbing your attention. John found him one day while wasting away the time on the internet. Thankfully for us, Inspector has no pride and was easily purchased. The rest is history.
